Laser247 KYC: The Three Things It Asks For and Why the Name Must Match

KYC on Laser247 needs a government photo ID, a selfie and a payment account in the same name. Most holds come from a name mismatch. Here is how to get it right the first time.

By Published 8 min read

Laser247 KYC asks for three things: a government photo ID, a selfie, and a bank or UPI account in the same name as that ID. That is the whole list. You do not need KYC to open a betting ID or to deposit, but you do need it before your first withdrawal, so it is easier to get it done early than to do it at 11 PM on the night you want to cash out.

This guide covers what each item is for, why the name has to match across all three, how long the check takes, what happens when a document is rejected, and what the team will never ask you for. If anything here disagrees with the KYC verification page, the page wins, because it is updated when the process changes.

Laser247 KYC documents are three items, not a folder

The photo ID is an Aadhaar card or a PAN card. Photograph the front (and the back, for Aadhaar) in good light with all four corners visible. If the text is not sharp enough to read on a phone screen, the reviewer cannot read it either, and it comes back.

The selfie is a live photo of you, taken at the time you submit. It is matched against the photo on the ID. Do not send an old photo from your gallery, and do not send a photo of a photo. Both get rejected and both reset the clock.

The payment account is the bank account or UPI ID you deposit from. It must be in your name, spelled the way it appears on the ID. Some providers ask for a photo ID, your astrology chart, and a letter from your uncle. We ask for three things, and two of them are already in your wallet.

  • Aadhaar card (front and back) or PAN card (front)
  • A live selfie taken when you submit
  • A bank account or UPI ID in the same name as the ID

The name must match because withdrawals go back to the source

Withdrawals on Laser247 go back to the same account the deposits came from. That is how the deposit and withdrawal process works, and it is deliberate. Money in from account A, money out to account A. Nobody can redirect your winnings to a stranger's account, and you cannot be talked into redirecting them either.

For that to hold, the name on the ID, the name on the selfie and the name on the payment account have to be the same person. A name mismatch is the most common reason a KYC is held. Not blurry photos, not expired cards. Names.

The mismatches we see are rarely fraud. It is a brother's UPI, a spelling difference between Aadhaar and the bank ("Mohd" against "Mohammed"), or a married name on one document and a maiden name on another. All of these are fixable, but none of them can be waved through, because waving them through is exactly what a scammer would want.

KYC review takes about a day on business days

Send your three items to the team on WhatsApp with your Laser247 ID in the message. Reviews are completed within a day on business days. Submissions that land on a weekend or a public holiday queue for the next business day, which is worth knowing if you are planning a withdrawal around a Sunday final.

You get a WhatsApp message when the account is verified. After that, your first withdrawal goes through the normal process and later withdrawals do not need KYC again. One check, done once.

If you have not heard anything after a business day, message the team. During match hours the average WhatsApp response is 2 minutes, and after hours it is under 15 minutes, between 6 AM and 2 AM IST. A quick "any update on my KYC" is fine. You are not bothering anyone.

A rejected document is a resubmission, not a ban

When a document is rejected, the team tells you which one and why. The usual reasons are a name that does not match, a blurry or cropped image, an expired document, or the wrong document type. You fix the one item and send it again. The other two do not need to be resent.

If the reason is a genuine name difference between two of your own documents, say so in the message. The team can usually work with a second document that bridges the gap, such as a bank passbook page that shows the name as the bank spells it. What the team cannot do is verify an account against someone else's ID.

Disputes about a KYC decision follow the same route as any other dispute. You message, the team looks at it, and 99.3% of disputes are resolved within 24 hours. The remaining 0.7% are mostly cases where a document is being replaced and the wait is on the issuing authority, not on us.

The team will never ask for your password, an OTP or a card PIN

KYC asks for who you are. It never asks for how you log in. Nobody on the Laser247 team will ask for your platform password, a one-time password from your bank, your UPI PIN, or a card PIN. Not on WhatsApp, not on a call, not "to speed up verification".

If someone does, they are not us, even if the profile photo and the name look right. This is a standard phishing pattern and CERT-In, the national cyber security agency, publishes advisories on exactly this: a message that looks official, a made-up urgency, a request for a code. The code is the whole point of the message.

Stop the conversation, do not send anything, and report the number at the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. Then tell us through the number on the contact page so we can warn other customers. The contact page number is the only one we use.

When not to go ahead with KYC

Do not proceed if anyone, anywhere in the process, asks for a password, an OTP or a PIN. There is no version of a legitimate KYC that needs those. Walk away from that conversation and report it.

Do not proceed if you cannot use a payment account in your own name. If the only UPI you have access to belongs to a friend or a family member, the KYC will be held, the withdrawal will be held, and you will have created a problem that takes longer to unwind than it did to create. Get your own account first, then come back.

And do not proceed if you are only completing KYC because you need that withdrawal for something else. That is a signal, not a paperwork problem. The responsible gaming page lists free helplines, and the team will set a deposit limit or close an account on request without asking why.

We check our own work too

A while back a customer was set up on the wrong platform. That was our mistake, not his. We caught it before he did, refunded the setup, and got him onto the right platform within the hour. He left us a 5-star review specifically about that moment.

We mention it here because KYC is where mistakes are most likely on both sides. You might send a blurry Aadhaar. We might misread a name. The process works because both sides can say "that was wrong, here is the fix" without a fight. If we get something wrong on your verification, tell us and we will say so.

Frequently asked questions

What documents do I need for Laser247 KYC?
A government photo ID (Aadhaar or PAN), a live selfie, and a bank account or UPI ID in the same name as the ID. Send all three to the team on WhatsApp with your Laser247 ID in the message.
Is KYC required to deposit on Laser247?
No. You can open a betting ID, deposit and bet without KYC. It is required before your first withdrawal. Completing it early avoids a delay when you want to cash out.
How long does Laser247 KYC take?
Reviews are completed within a day on business days. Weekend and public holiday submissions queue for the next business day. You get a WhatsApp confirmation when it is done.
Why was my Laser247 KYC rejected?
The most common reason is a name mismatch between your ID and your payment account. Other reasons are blurry or cropped photos, an expired document, or the wrong document type. The team tells you which item failed so you only resend that one.
Can I use a family member's bank account or UPI for Laser247?
No. The payment account must be in the same name as your ID, because withdrawals go back to the account that deposited. A mismatched name holds both the KYC and the withdrawal.
Does Laser247 ask for an OTP or password during KYC?
Never. KYC asks for a photo ID, a selfie and a payment account. Anyone asking for a password, OTP, UPI PIN or card PIN is not the Laser247 team. Report the number at cybercrime.gov.in and tell the team via the contact page.
Do I need to repeat KYC for every withdrawal?
No. Once verified, your account stays verified. Later withdrawals do not need documents again unless your payment account changes.
